AdvancedLandscaping
A redesign concept for a Southwest Florida landscaping company, using a cleaner, editorial layout to present its services and work.
Concept Created independently — not an official client engagement. Image areas are placeholders for the company’s own project photos.

Overview
I designed and built this redesign concept myself — the layout and visual direction, the responsive front end, and deployment on Netlify.
Business objective
Present landscaping services and project work clearly while guiding visitors toward an estimate request.
Design approach
A calmer, editorial layout that gives the work space and leads clearly to an estimate.
Key features & design decisions
An editorial layout
A serif display face, generous spacing and numbered sections borrowed from print design.
Room for the work
Large image areas and a filterable project gallery with before-and-after pairs, ready for the company’s own photos.
A clear path to an estimate
An estimate button and phone link at the top of the page, and an estimate form at the end.
Palette & type
Development decisions
- Gallery filtersVisitors can narrow the gallery by type of project, and a live region announces the result to screen readers.
- Estimate formService checkboxes and a contact-preference choice, wired to Netlify Forms.
- AccessibilityA skip link, and phone links that use tel: so mobile visitors can call in one tap.
- BuildA single HTML file with inline CSS and plain JavaScript. Animations respect the reduced-motion setting.
- ResponsiveSeparate layouts for desktop, tablet and phone widths. Each preview above is a real render of the site.
- HostingDeployed on Netlify.
Homepage structure
- A yard should feel planned — not pieced together one weekend at a time.
- The whole yard, start to finish.
- The work is the point.
- Three steps to a real number.
- Rooted in Fort Myers.
- Let’s look at your yard.
Intended outcome
Visitors see the range of the work first, then have one clear next step: request an estimate.
This is a concept, so this describes what the design is meant to do, not measured results.
Mobile layout
Three sections of the site at phone width (390px).
